News Hub Creator 15h Cecilia Dapaah, former Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, has spoken out against allegations accusing her of mishandling $43 million earmarked for the Odaw River dredging project in Accra. Through her aide, Kofi Mensah, she issued a firm denial, calling the claims baseless and damaging. Mensah clarified that the sum in question—$42.

2 million—was actually part of the GARID Project, a development initiative targeting improvements in Accra’s waste management and urban resilience. He explained that the funds were properly utilized under Dapaah’s leadership, covering consultant recruitment and other procurement-related expenditures. He encouraged the public to seek factual information directly from the responsible ministry.



Addressing rumors of Dapaah’s alleged escape from the country, Mensah confirmed she has remained in Ghana and was recently seen attending social events in Kumasi. He also reminded the public that the Office of the Special Prosecutor had already looked into Dapaah’s activities and found no evidence of corruption. Frustrated by the spread of misinformation, he urged Ghanaians to avoid speculation and focus on the facts.
