Town travelled to Hayes Lane looking to continue their improved form against a side who had not lost in the league since the middle of October. Omar Sowumni headed home to give the hosts the lead after an opening hour which had seen little in the way of clear-cut chances. But Swindon were not to be deterred and Rosaire Longelo struck home three minutes later to level and Swindon had the chances to win the game but would have to settle for a point.

After the game, Ian Holloway discussed his decision to hand Nnamdi Ofoborh the captain's armband having not started him since November. He also reiterated that although Swindon had started to perform better and pick up some results, losing once in their last six across all competitions, there was plenty more for the team to do if they were to continue their fight for survival. Longelo also spoke after the game having scored his first goal in over a year and discussed scoring the goal in front of the travelling support and his family, who had come to the game.
