R Ashwin scored his first Test hundred against West Indies in 2011 at the Wankhede stadium. He scored 103 off 118 balls after coming to the crease at number eight. Ashwin hit 15 boundaries and two sixes in that innings.

Ashwin, who came to bat at number eight, made 124 runs off 210 balls to ensure India posted a strong reply to the opposition’s first-innings score. India went on to win the match by an innings and 51 runs.
