Liquor shops to be shut in Bhongir Zone for MLC elections

Hyderabad: To ensure smooth and fair polling during the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teachers' Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) elections, liquor sales have been prohibited in the Bhongir zone of the Rachakonda Commissionerate. Rachakonda Commissioner Sudhir Babu, IPS, issued the orders under Section 20 of the Excise Act, 1968. The ban will be in effect from 4 pm on February 25 until 4 pm on February 27.
