The New Orleans Saints linebacker was active for Sunday's matchup against the Cleveland Browns, despite missing two practices this week with a hand injury. Werner was seen on Friday with a massive club wrapped around his right hand, and interim coach Darren Rizzi said Werner was going to be a gametime decision.

Werner was not among the team's list of inactives released 90 minutes prior to kickoff. With Werner active, here's who is out for New Orleans: Running back Jamaal Williams (groin) Guard Lucas Patrick (ankle) Linebacker Jaylan Ford Defensive tackle Khristian Boyd Wide receiver Mason Tipton Safety Millard Bradford Quarterback Spencer Rattler (designated as the third emergency QB) Of that list, only Tipton's inclusion is a mild surprise. But wide receiver Cedrick Wilson is now healthy after missing last week with a shoulder injury, and the Saints elevated wide receivers Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Dante Pettis from the practice squad.

Center Erik McCoy is also officially active after being activated from injured reserve on Saturday. Linebacker Nephi Sewell, returning from an ACL injury, will also make his season debut after the team activated him off the physically unable to perform list..
