GARDAI are conducting searches in Limerick city this Wednesday regarding a missing person. Limerick Live was contacted by a number of people who saw An Garda Siochana and Civil Defence vehicles parked up on a green area on the busy Condell Road - close to Shannon Bridge. In response to a media query, a garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are carrying out searches in Limerick city as part of an ongoing missing persons investigation.

The location being searched is adjacent to the River Shannon and has deep undergrowth. It is known to be an area where a number of homeless people reside in tents.



There are also reports of a drone being launched to assist gardai and Civil Defence volunteers in their search..
