Libs' split results in strange bedfellows

Bitterness over the make-up of the Liberal team has flowed through in the direction of preferences. / (min cost $ 0 ) or signup to continue reading The Liberal Party is giving second preferences to Shire Independents Leanne Farmer, Allira Wade and Mark Christie in A, B and D Wards, Gaye Cameron (Libertarian Party) in C Ward and Laura Cowell (independent) in E Ward. Carmelo Pesce, who was dumped from the Liberal ticket, is preferencing Labor's Jen Armstrong in C Ward, while fellow ex-Liberal Carol Provan is giving her second preference to Kal Glaznig (independent) in A Ward.

The Labor Party is also preferencing Kal Glanznig in A Ward, Martin Moore (The Greens) in B Ward, Carmelo Pesce (independent) in C Ward, Brady Clarke (independent) in D Ward and Laura Cowell (independent) in E Ward. Shire Independents are preferencing Dianne Becker (Animal Justice Party) in A Ward and Dominique Passmore (Passmore Independents) in D Ward, and no candidate in B Ward. Voters need only number one box above the line, but more if they wish.



Pre-poll voting started on Saturday and will continue up until Friday. Early voting centres are at: Opening Hours are Monday to Wednesday, 8.30am - 5.

30pm; Thursday, 8.30am - 8pm; Friday, 8.30am - 6pm.
