Liam Doyle wins SEC weekly award after performance against Ole Miss.

Tennessee junior Liam Doyle was named SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week on Monday.Doyle (6-1), an Ole Miss transfer, started against his former team in game No. 1 of the SEC series on Friday.

He pitched a career-high 8.1 innings in Tennessee's, 3-2, victory over the Rebels. Doyle allowed two runs, three hits and two walks, while tying a career high with 14 strikeouts.



Doyle, who has been named SEC Pitcher of the Week for a second consecutive week and a third time this season, led all SEC pitchers in strikeouts and innings pitched last week. With Monday's honor, he becomes the first Tennessee pitcher to be named SEC Pitcher of the Week three times in a single season.He joins Todd Helton and Drew Beam as the only Tennessee players to win three weekly awards in the same season.

Helton accomplished the feat in 1995, while Beam won three SEC weekly awards in 2022.The Vols have earned six SEC weekly awards in 2025. Doyle claimed conference honors on March 10, April 7 and April 14.
