On November 12, LG Electronics introduced their new cockpit concept for future mobility, called the 'Digital Cockpit Gamma'. This marks the third concept following last year's Alpha and Beta models, and it provides an advanced driver experience with cutting-edge technology packed into the driving space. The Digital Cockpit Gamma is composed of three main modules: Vision Display, Intelligent HMI, and Connectivity & Content.

It features a modular system that allows users to select the desired functions. The 'Vision Display' uses a transparent OLED instrument panel to provide various essential driving information. It clearly conveys crucial data like speed and navigation, while a rollable plastic OLED Central Information Display (CID) is centrally placed on the vehicle dashboard, which can be hidden when not in use, enhancing the vehicle’s interior elegance.

The 'Intelligent HMI' is an interface system that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to facilitate interactions between the driver and the vehicle. The AI analyzes the driver’s state in real-time, offering smart services such as suggesting nearby cafes for coffee if it detects drowsy driving. Additionally, a fingerprint recognition system allows for easy payments, adding convenience.

The 'Connectivity & Content' module supports fast data transmission based on 5G technology, enabling a distinctive entertainment experience. This allows for high-speed internet and access to a wide range of content services in real time inside the vehicle. "With the Digital Cockpit Gamma, we offer a distinctive driving experience and will continue to showcase LG Electronics’ future vehicle technology capabilities," said Eun Seok-hyun, head of LG Electronics’ Vehicle component Solutions (VS) Division.
