Letters to the editor: Boulder should throw $50 toward pothole repairs

With the nice weather close, Valmont Road has turned into the Autobahn. How fast can I get to work and back home at the end of the work day? I'm a Boulder native, what the hell has happened? I don't own a bike, so I guess I'm an outsider?

Boulder should throw $50 toward pothole repairs Can someone please tell me where our tax money goes? I’m tired of paying all that money for no noticeable change. I live 1/2 out of town. If I want to shower I pay to have water hauled in.

My only choice for cable is a satellite dish on my roof. Same goes for high-speed internet, dish on the roof. I guess I should be thankful I have natural gas and electricity.

It is an amazing place for a weekend retreat three months out of the year. A couple of years ago my property taxes increased 105%, on a piece of property accessible from July through September, I can’t afford a snow machine due to the high taxes. Just saying! Maybe one day Boulder could throw $50 toward pothole repairs.

Wishful thinking! Jim Holmberg, Boulder.
