Local and regional affordable housing programs spend hundreds of millions of dollars to lower housing costs without any serious consideration of transit. Politicians and housing advocates gloss over the transportation concerns with assumptions that it will take care of itself. Little discussion and very little money is put toward cost-effective and reliable transit.
