Article content My father served in Canada’s military and I’ve always voted, but many voters, for good reason, are cynical of politicians who say one thing and if elected do the opposite. The tariff war is making our federal election so very important and Canadians need straight talk from politicians, not their unrealistic promises of tax cuts, seeing tariffs will affect jobs and some businesses will need government assistance. Political parties must work together to revive our economy and find new trade partners, eh! Nothing new I want to remind everyone in Canada that Poilievre pledged he would remove the GST on new homes under $1 million in October of 2024.
The Liberal Party is just stealing other politicians ideas. Also, the Liberals are taking credit for Canada’s new dental and daycare programs. However, these programs were birthed by the NDP and a gift to the NDP for propping up the Liberal minority government.
Basically, blackmail, as NDP support would likely be withdrawn if the Liberals did not implement these NDP policies. The Liberals have nothing new or original to offer Canadians. I’m a little wary of giving the leadership of Canada to an elite billionaire who seems to be playing fast and loose with specific questions on his own income and past employment achievements.
The U.K. and Stephen Harper have given Canadians a heads up concerning this behaviour.
Two- faced I’ve been watching the Liberal ads that are trying to hang a Trump shingle above the Poilievre door. Their claims that he will make cuts to health care and affordable housing and pensions are blatant lies. When it comes to policies, Poilievre has some of the most supportive policies for the average Canadian.
It’s funny, however, that Mark Carney wants to emulate those very policies that Pierre Poilievre is proposing while claiming that the Conservatives under Poilievre are going to cut, slash and burn the country. The Liberals under Carney would be a two-faced underhanded group even worse than the ones that just trounced Trudeau. Wasn’t he the one who contradicted himself in French and English regarding coast-to-coast pipelines? And he just cancelled the debate with Poilievre in French.
Come on, Canada, be careful what you wish for..
