Article content Who says politics and religion don’t mix in Canada? The prime minister chose an election day of April 28, presumably aware that, as a result, advance polls would be held during the Easter long weekend. Bad timing! Voting on Good Friday, Easter (a Sunday), or Easter Monday is unprecedented in our history, and it demonstrates Mr. Carney’s poor judgment as it reflects disrespect toward this country’s predominant faith community.
To avoid overlap and offence, he simply could have chosen an election day, at a minimum, one week later. Such an action would have correspondingly rescheduled advance voting to a different weekend in April. Canada has, once again, hit a new low under the Liberals.
Happy Easter, anyone? Petty politics Mark Carney, while claiming to be unaware of the Liberal staffers that planted Trump-like MAGA style campaign buttons at a Conservative rally in Ottawa recently, acknowledged the incident and apologized “unreservedly” for the pathetic petty politics that his party employed. He said that these Liberal cheaters have now been “reassigned” elsewhere in the campaign. Great.
So now, instead of pushing fake buttons, they will be encouraged to promote ‘alternative facts’ that they will claim originated from those conniving Conservatives. Libs divided us, not Trump It is time for us all to take a deep breath and reflect on what is happening here in Canada. Donald Trump is not running in this election, so everyone needs to close out the noise from south of the border.
No. 1, we can thank the Donald for bringing this country together with his whimsical threats of annexation. We shouldn’t have needed this if we didn’t just experience the most divisive prime minister for the last 10 years.
No. 2, the Liberals under Trudeau destroyed what should be a thriving energy business that would bring billions of dollars into this country. No.
3, under the Trudeau Liberals we have amassed more debt than every other prime minister combined. Mark Carney is not the answer as he will continue to strangle our economy with his green agenda, which is much worse than Trudeau’s. Everybody needs to ask themselves, do we need another four years of failed policies of a broken Liberal Party.
