Flames fizzle At this time of the hockey campaign, the Flames should be at the top of their game. To lose to an already eliminated team, Anaheim, just shows this hockey squad will be sitting on the sidelines this spring..
.again! This is an absolute kick in the pants to all the faithful, die-hard fans. DONALD K.
MUNROE (It was an epic collapse, to be sure) Not one of us Dear Mr. Carney, regarding your ongoing comments about growing up in Alberta and being from Alberta and having friends here. The implication is you know what Alberta needs.
When was the last time you lived in Alberta? I was born in Scotland and grew up in Scotland for the first 10 years of my life. I have lived in Alberta now for about 68 years. Because I was born and lived in Scotland, using your rationale, I obviously know what Scotland needs.
I think not. The one thing I can tell you is what Alberta DOESN’T need and that is you and another Lieberal government. JOHN WADDELL (That about sums it up) Don’t be fooled Ten years seeing the damage the Liberals have done to our country, and especially in Alberta, why would Calgarians attend a rally for Carney? This is the same guy who walked hand in hand with Trudeau helping him create the mess we’re in today.
Don’t forget the same Liberal MPs will still be there to carry on with this disaster. All Carney has to offer is everything the Conservatives have been telling the Liberals for years, and you can be sure he will backpedal on most of it. BARRY HARRIS (Team Trudeau and Team Carney will look awfully similar) Not everyone likes him Being over 55, I disagree with the premise that those 55 and over support Carney.
This isn’t the case with the majority of those over 55, including retirees. Many of us are in industries as tradespeople and professionals (Engineers etc.), and we have experienced directly the impacts of Trudeau and his do-nothing ministers.
We are now a poor country because of our out-of-control debt. The Liberals have done everything to stymie business and industry growth that could employ thousands of people with good wages. Until Carney rids the party of ministers who held power under Trudeau, nothing will change.
Carney would also likely ask for support from the NDP should the Liberals win a minority government, which would continue the disaster. BILL NENNAN (Polls give an indication of how people are leaning, but you’re right that they don’t represent everyone.).
