Article content I see our premier is sitting silent on the measles outbreak in Alberta. The measles vaccine has been used for the past 60 years or more, but we still have some that think it is not good for you. Hard to believe.
We had the same here with a former premier who almost let COVID take over in this province once before until he woke up. You have the doctors in the province telling the government that we need to advise people to get vaccinated, but no, they are going to sit back because of their own personal beliefs rather than accept proven science on measles. I have to wonder where we are getting these gems from to run our province.
Unbelievable. Cold open Has anyone ever noticed that the only people who slam Saturday Night Live are the famous people who are parodied on the program? A Musk quote says, “Humour fails when it lies.” Actually, “Taxpayers fail when they’re lied to!” Waiting game What a surprise that Sarah Hoffman and her fellow NDP members shot down the recent provincial decision to bring forth a “European-style” strategy to health care/surgeries.
About a year ago, I watched a special on Sweden and its surgical policy on joint replacements. Swedish government gives citizens 90 days to get surgery in the public system. If surgeries can’t be done citizens can either wait for time to come up in the public system or be provided with surgery from private clinic.
But here’s the catch: the government still pays for both! Would that not help the current situation here where people are waiting years, not a few months? People going into the U.S. or any other country shouldn’t be an option, especially if they’re paying from their own pocket.
Maybe the opposition should do their research into what’s successful in other countries instead of crapping on an attempt to solve situation in this province. Voting decisions My only consideration in this election is which of the two between Mark Carney and Pierre Poilievre will either suck up or stand up to Trump?.
