Our Jewish friends and neighbors need us. There has been a startling increase in antisemitic incidents around the world. We all need to stand up and say, “Only love lives here.

” You can go to www.projectmenorah.com to download a picture of a menorah to put in your window, or also online you can find inexpensive actual menorahs to put in a prominent window.

Let it shine along with any other Christmas or other seasonal decorations you have, to show unity with our Jewish community. We must fight the hate, and now in these times seems like a very good time to start. This year Chanukah starts at sundown on Dec.

25th through Jan. 2nd. You can find info online on how to light the candles among other information.

Also, Rabbi Linda Bertenthal, the rabbi of both Congregation Beth Israel and Temple Emanuel in Davenport, welcomes questions about Chanukah or about how to support the Jewish community. You can reach out to her at [email protected] .
