As a past precinct official in Tulsa County for 21 years, I cringed when I first learned of the recent requested voting recount for Tulsa mayor. My first comment was what a waste of time and money! The outcome was just that — wasted time and money. What a travesty for Tulsa County taxpayers’ $39,923.

Forty taxpayers/homeowners could have each benefited $1,000 a day. Yes, for rent, mortgage payments, insurance coverage, vehicle payments and repair, public transportation fees, home repairs, educational and medical expenses, child care, pet care, etc. Sad! Letters to the editor are encouraged.
