Letter: Someone needs to tell Congress, courts how system works

Remember what we learned in grade school? The legislature makes the laws, and the executive branch enforces those laws. The executive does not make the law, says Mark Swiney of Tulsa.

Millions of Americans (including me) depend on Social Security payments and Medicare. These benefits are set by law. President Donald Trump and Elon Musk cannot wave their hand and modify or cancel Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
