Letter: No equivalency between abortion, immigration

The pope recently urged Catholic voters to “choose the lesser evil” when considering Harris’s extreme pro-abortion stance and Trump’s approach regarding border security. To draw a moral equivalence between abortion and enforcing immigration law is a stretch even for a progressive pope. Entering the country illegally is a crime.

President Trump has no unwelcoming words to those who come here legally. The U.S.

embraces many immigrants when they enter legitimately and abide by the laws of our country. Under border czar Harris, we’ve had a free-for-all at the expense of U.S.

citizens with no timely recourse to stop it. Although the majority of Americans support limitations on abortion, the radical Democrat party advocates for the right to terminate an innocent human life up til birth. No matter how much the mainstream media tries to sanitize abortion with words like “reproductive freedom” and “abortion care,” the fact remains, it’s the brutal destruction of an unborn child and often times injurious to women’s mental and physical health.

ADVERTISEMENT The epidemic of legalized abortion violence would have ended years ago if every Christian followed science and their conscience. You can’t be both Catholic and pro-choice, but you can be Catholic and for legal immigration. Catholics make up one-fifth of the voting block and have the moral responsibility to end the evil of abortion on demand immediately.
