After 24 years representing District 7 on the Lincoln Board of Education, I decided not to seek re-election. Serving our schools and community has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I care deeply about who comes next. That’s why I’m proud to support Marilyn Johnson Farr to succeed me.

Marilyn is a lifelong educator with 50 years of experience — 20 of them in Lincoln Public Schools. She’s been a teacher, a team lead, a professor and a mentor. She understands the challenges facing our students, families and educators, and she brings both empathy and expertise to the table.

She believes in providing every child with a strong education, regardless of their zip code or background. Marilyn knows we must support our teachers, improve academic outcomes, and seek fair funding solutions that reduce the burden on local taxpayers. People are also reading.

.. I’ve seen firsthand how seriously she listens, how deeply she cares, and how committed she is to making Lincoln’s schools even stronger.

She’s not running to make noise — she’s running to make a difference. Please join me in voting for Marilyn Johnson Farr for the District 7 seat in the primary next week.
