I have been in the newspaper business all of my life and it gave me a front row seat to what was happening. I want to share with you my concerns for what is happening because nothing we have experienced has ever come this close to destroying our democracy. In the good old days, we had two major political parties.
Voters would swing back and forth favoring one or the other. In doing so, our country usually found a balance that served us all very well and made us the envy of the world. Based on President Trump’s recent decisions and actions, we will likely be living under a dictatorship or authoritarian government in the near future.
President Trump is now taking steps to insure he maintains his power over us. He will decide how the country will share the wealth, and every aspect of how we live our lives. People are also reading.

Trump and his billionaire buddy Elon Musk have decimated many important governmental agencies. President Trump has made the entire world a much more dangerous place. Trump is picking fights with our neighbors and allies.
They no longer can trust us. Based on the Supreme Court’s immunity decision, we can not look for their support. It is up to us! “We the People.
