Bruce Anderson writes, "What if we let them know every day how disappointed we are that they are ignoring their responsibilities as one of the three co-equal branches of government? What if they did their jobs?"

Please don’t blame President Trump for the decline in your retirement account, withholding of funds for medical research, firing of veterans, or chaos at the Social Security Administration...

and so much more. The impacts of his tariffs will hit farm families hard - as they did in his first term. No, the ones to blame are closer to home.

..the senators and representatives that have abandoned their posts - and their concern for constituents - to blindly follow their leader.

They are fearful of being attacked by Musk money if they deviate from Trumpism. We elected pretty intelligent folks, perhaps much smarter than the president. They know he is wrong on so many issues.

But they may be so confident that no matter how bad it gets for their constituents, those constituents will send them back to D.C. once again.

But what if they felt there was more risk of voters going against them than Musk money (which failed to win over Wisconsin voters) defeating them? What if we let them know every day how disappointed we are that they are ignoring their responsibilities as one of the three co-equal branches of government? What if they did their jobs? Maybe the fear of voters turning against them will remind them that their duty is to us...

and to the Constitution. The power of the GOP representatives from North Dakota and Minnesota combined is a bloc that could stop the bleeding and get us back to sanity. Is that not possible? Saturday’s protests were a good start.

Democracy can restore our country. It’s hard work. But so important.
