I’m fortunate to have visited about 50 countries over the years, as tour leader, on mission and educational trips and visiting our daughters who were working in Southeast Asia and southern Africa.Time and again I had the heartfelt experience of seeing U.S.
Agency for International Development signs with the tagline, “From the People of the United States.” These labeled medical clinics, farm equipment, food distribution centers, schools, wells and irrigation systems and more, bringing health and hope to millions of people. As an American, I was proud to see this good use of our tax dollars for the sake of others.
In a matter of weeks, the bloody Donald Trump/Elon Musk chainsaw has undone decades of good will and work, and millions will likely die from disease and hunger because of them. Suffering and instability in those places will make them ripe for picking by Russia and China, who will be only too happy to fill the void left by American withdrawal.Two of the wealthiest men on the planet have conspired to wreak havoc and pain upon the most vulnerable people on Earth.
