A man’s understanding of women’s health care needs As the battle for the restoration of women’s reproductive health care rages on, it demands that I put down my thoughts on the subject in total support for our women. It is widely known that giving birth is a traumatic ordeal that no man can truly understand or ever experience. All human females are eligible for pregnancy if so desired by them.

But some women could develop serious complications that would require immediate medical intervention. This could result in the loss of the fetus, but preserve the health and the life of the mother. In several states, laws recently enacted by horrifically misguided and cruel governments have caused medical professionals to fear prosecution if they do anything medically necessary to save a mother’s life.

Being forced to debate the legality of a medical procedure while a woman suffers intense pain, blood loss, horrific fear for her life and possible dangerous infection is unconscionable, unethical, inhuman, cruel and immoral. Those who have beaten their breasts in celebration of such draconian laws bear the bitter disgust and anger of every person who truly understands the needs of pregnant women. An intense shame is upon all of them for their cruelty toward women who, by nature’s dictate, carry on our human species.
