share 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 LEGO is once again pulling out all the stops for May the 4th (aka Star Wars Day), and this time, it’s a big one. Nine new Star Wars sets have been revealed, headlined by the latest addition to its Ultimate Collector Series – the 2,970-piece Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship . Better known to Star Wars fans as the Slave I, a name which has since been dropped by Disney in 2021, seemingly due to the derogatory nature of the term, Jango Fett’s Starship UCS (set 75409) depicts the ship as seen in 2002’s Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and marks the largest version of ship in recent memory, composed of 2,970 pieces and measuring 7.
5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
For comparison, the largest comparable LEGO set was 2019’s Slave I – 20th Anniversary Edition , a 1,007-piece set depicting the ship as seen in 1980’s Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back . As the first LEGO model of the Attack of the Clones version of the ship since 2002, the upcoming set will feature a detailed interior decked out with controls and seats covered by a new see-through window piece, adjustable blasters and wings, an open-close ramp on its rear, deployable seismic charges and two re-designed minifigures: Jango Fett and a young Bobo Fett, which can both fit in the ship’s cockpit simultaneously.
