ESPN college football analyst Lee Corso has been a staple of the “College GameDay” broadcast since its inception in 1987. He’s one of the show’s more popular hosts, and his weekly “headgear pick” for the Game of the Week predictions is iconic, but it appears as if Corso’s time on the popular college football pregame show could be coming to an end. Fans expressed genuine concern for the legendary 89-year-old sports media personality following his appearance on Saturday’s episode of “CGD” after Corso clearly showed some signs of his advanced age, with many calling for Corso to finally call it a career.

“I can't be the only one who feels uncomfortable watching Lee Corso on GameDay...

just let the dude retire already,” a third fan stated. “ESPN continuing to trot out Lee Corso is just getting sad at this point, the guy is a legend but I’m not sure he’s formed a coherent sentence in like 3 years,” exclaimed one user. “Does Lee Corso have a contract with @ESPN stating he has to be on stage at #GameDay? I’m sorry but coach is 5 years past his TV prime.

Half the time he’s incoherent, and mumbling. It’s sad he keeps coming on the show year after year and every year he’s worse,” another user argued. “Love Lee Corso and all he’s meant for college football but this is hard to watch and a little sad.

Appreciate them trying to honor him but not sure this is doing it anymore,” one fan somberly said . “Why is Lee Corso there? It’s very sad to watch Herbstreit correct him all the time. It’s very sad.

He doesn’t belong there. His loved ones need to step in and tell him it’s over and was a great run,” boldly claimed another user. It’s believed that “College GameDay” brought former Alabama head coach Nick Saban on this season as Corso’s replacement-in-waiting.

With how things have gone through the first four weeks and the growing demand for Corso to finally hang it up, “CGD” could make this his final season..
