Everyone 'runs out of ink' eventually, 96 is a fair age. He was certainly a Holocaust/Shoah minimiser or denier depending on your outlook and whose definition you prefer. On the other hand given that he was side-lined by his daughter it's amazing the vitriol his death has generated on this Irish political site.

It is no longer his Party- even the name has been changed. His daughter who lacks his redeeming features is in many respects more extreme, and certainly more distasteful all around, than he is. No wonder Clanrickard much prefers her.
