MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has received yet another death threat, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to reports, the gang has demanded ₹5 crore to settle their long-standing enmity with the actor. The Mumbai Traffic Police reportedly received the threat via a WhatsApp message, warning that Salman could meet the same fate as former NCP leader and ex-minister Baba Siddique, who was publicly shot dead by members of the Bishnoi gang.

The message cautioned: “Don’t take this lightly. Salman must pay ₹5 crore to resolve his feud with Lawrence Bishnoi and live. If the money is not paid, the situation will be worse than Baba Siddique's.

” The animosity stems from the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, in which Salman Khan was accused of hunting the blackbuck, an animal considered sacred by the Bishnoi community. The gang, led by Lawrence Bishnoi, has repeatedly issued threats to the actor over the years. Salman’s security was recently beefed up after the murder of Baba Siddique, a close associate of the actor and a firing incident outside Khan’s residence.

In an unexpected development, Salman’s ex-girlfriend, Somy Ali, who now lives in the United States as a social worker, has offered to mediate. In a recent Instagram post, Somy Ali asked for a Zoom meeting with Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently in jail. "You can trust me.

A conversation between us will be beneficial for you," she wrote, even asking for his contact number in the post. Salman and Somy Ali ended their relationship in 1999, and Somy has since become a prominent advocate against domestic violence and human trafficking through her organization, No More Tears, based in the US..
