The all-female crew that took a brief trip up to space found things going a bit topsy turvy as they experienced the effects of zero gravity.

Blue Origin offered a look into the all-female flight crew’s experience with zero gravity . The aerospace company, founded by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos in 2000, shared footage of the six member crew in their matching blue space suits as they were weightlessness as they reached the Kármán line, an unseen boundary that is 62 miles (100 kilometers) above Earth’s sea levels which is the line widely accepted to be the point where space begins. The six women that made up the crew were Bezos’ fiancé and pilot Lauren Sanchez, pop singer Katy Perry, CBS broadcast journalist Gayle King , bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen and former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe and film producer Kerianne Flynn.

In their 11-minute trip, the women were in zero gravity for three minutes. Gayle King shares words of support Oprah offered ahead of Blue Origin flight Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner turn down Blue Origin flight amid safety worries The footage showed them shouting “taking up space” as they raised their hands after putting them on top of each other. Kerianne was spotted peering out into the deep of space where Earth can be seen below and Amanda was laughing in a close-up shot as she floated.

Katy Perry held up a daisy which was a nod to her four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, that she shares with actor Orlando Bloom. Katy also held up a butterfly that revealed the set list for her upcoming Lifetimes tour. After touching down, the Roar singer spoke about why she brought a live daisy with her along with it being a tribute to her daughter.

"Daisies are common flowers, but they grow through any condition," she explained in part. "They crow through cement, they grow through cracks, they grow through walls. They are resilient.

They are powerful, they are strong, they are everywhere." All the women were were floating in different positions with their hair haloing around them as they looked outside the aircraft’s window. There were few shots of them being upside down in the capsule.

The footage also showed Aisha holding up the Bahamas flag patch and Gayle passing a stuffy to Lauren which was Lauren’s fly character named Flynn from her children’s book, The Fly Who Flew to Space. The ladies launched into space at 9:30am ET from Launch Site one in West Texas on Monday, April 14, with on-lookers that included Katy’s fiancé Orlando, daughter Daisy Dove, Oprah Winfrey (Gayle’s best friend) and Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian. This was the first female flight crew since the Soviet astronaut Valentina Tereshkova went on a solo flight in 1963, according to Blue Origin.

The historic flight, The NS-31, marks the 11th human flight for Bezos’ New Shepard program. The program is working to assist in bringing citizens to space in a reusable suborbital rocket system . There have been some criticisms about the voyage, with firstly actress Olivia Munn being candid about her objection on April 3 as guest co-anchor with Jenna Bush Hager on Today With Jenna and Friends.

She stated that "there are so many other things that are so important in the world right now." "What’s the point? Is it historic that you guys are going on a ride? I think it’s a bit gluttonous," she added. “Space exploration was to further our knowledge and to help mankind.

What are they gonna do up there that has made it better for us down here?".
