Late-night trains added for fans going to gigs in Manchester

TransPennine Express (TPE) has announced two additional services running between Manchester and Liverpool for late-night gigs in November.

Extra late-night train services are being added for fans heading home from Manchester gigs in November. TransPennine Express (TPE) has announced two additional services running between Manchester and Liverpool for music fans who want to stay for the whole show. Fans of pop star Charli XCX and rock band Sleep Token can book the special late-night services.

The first extra service will leave Manchester Victoria at 12.54am on November 27. This will follow Sleep Token's Tuesday night gig at Co-op Live Arena.



The train will stop at Newton-le-Willows and Lea Green before ending its journey at Liverpool Lime Street. Another late-night service will run on November 28 at 12.54am from Manchester Victoria.

This is for fans returning from Charli XCX’s Wednesday night performance. This service will also stop at Newton-le-Willows and Lea Green. Kathryn O’Brien, customer experience and transformation director at TransPennine Express , said: "We are pleased to be able to offer these extra services to help get fans home after enjoying these concerts.

"We’re asking our customers to plan ahead and check before they travel as services may be busy." Fans can purchase their rail tickets for the concert journeys via TPE’s website: tpexpress.co.
