Army and Notre Dame will meet for the 52nd time on Saturday, November 23. This is one of the longest-standing rivalries in college sports, but the rivalry is doing a lot of heavy lifting as Notre Dame is 39-8-4 against Army. The teams first matched up in 1913 at West Point in New York.
It isn't a yearly scheduled rivalry like Army-Navy, as the Black Knights haven't played the Fighting Irish since 2016. It's been even longer since Army picked up a win in the series. You must go back decades to find the last time the Black Knights prevailed over the Fighting Irish.
That doesn't mean they should be written off on Saturday, though. Army enters No. 19 in the nation and an undefeated 9-0.
