The United Democratic Front (UDF) and Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) have announced a hartal within the Mananthavady Municipality limits.

The hartal is from 6 am to 6 pm. Essential services will be exempted from the hartal, according to the organisers. Meanwhile, efforts to capture the man-eating tiger have been intensified.

If the tiger cannot be captured using a cage or tranquilliser darts, it has been ordered to be shot. The directive was issued by the Chief Wildlife Warden following instructions from Forest Minister A K Saseendran. Actions will be taken in accordance with the Central Wildlife Protection Act.

Once it is confirmed that the tiger is a man-eater, initial attempts will be made to tranquillise or capture it using a cage. Only if these efforts fail will the tiger be shot. According to Forest Range Officer S Ranjith Kumar, the area is not suitable for deploying kumki elephants for the search operation.

When asked by journalists if he would visit the house of the deceased Radha, Minister Saseendran stated that he would go if the residents wished for it and if his visit would provide them solace. The Minister also remarked that the Central Wildlife Protection Act remains a major obstacle in finding solutions to wildlife attacks..
