Las Vegas will see a warming trend through the middle of next week, with temperatures near or slightly above normal through the weekend. The National Weather Service reports, "Temperatures today will top out 2 to 4 degrees above normal, with a couple degrees of additional warming expected each day through Sunday." Temperatures are expected to rise next week as "an upper-level ridge builds over the southwestern United States throughout next week," with Las Vegas having a 50% chance of reaching 90 degrees by Wednesday.

The HeatRisk is forecast to remain at Minor levels for most areas but may reach Moderate in lower valleys. Officials encourage weather spotters to report significant impacts. Those visiting Death Valley or Lake Mohave should take precautions, including carrying extra water, using sunscreen, and avoiding peak sun exposure.

"A transition back to more typical temperatures and windier weather is expected by the end of next week," as stated by the National Weather Service . Later in the week, increasing winds are expected as a shortwave trough approaches, though limited moisture will keep precipitation chances low. Gusty southwesterly winds on Thursday will shift to northwesterly on Friday, with "Winds will be the main impact as pressure gradients increase across the forecast area," according to the National Weather Service .

Aviation forecasts for Harry Reid International indicate mainly light, diurnal winds, though "There is a ~40% chance that southwest breezes around 10 knots push into the terminal during this time." Travelers and locals should stay updated as conditions may shift..
