AN eagle-eyed photographer snapped an image of Britain's biggest snake species slithering around a lake at one of Worcestershire's most popular attractions. Worcester News Camera Club member Steven Jackson pictured the grass snake swimming around at Spetchley Park Gardens, near Worcester. READ MORE: 'Dancing' adders spotted in nature reserve READ MORE: Snakes: The Worcestershire places where you'll find the most Grass snakes can reach as long as five feet, making them the largest snake in Britain according to the Wildlife Trust and will live between 15 and 25 years.
Like most snakes in the UK, they are harmless and can be spotted in the countryside between April and October.
