Photo by Supplied / OPP Article content A routine traffic stop on Highway 417 near Hawkesbury led to the seizure of about 160,000 suspected methamphetamine pills, the OPP said. An officer with the Hawkesbury detachment was patrolling on the 417 westbound just before 10:30 a.m.
on March 19 when he noticed a vehicle being driven erratically. Upon stopping the car, he noticed “suspicious material” inside it, the OPP said in a news release. An investigation, in conjunction with the OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit, resulted in a search warrant being issued and the discovery of the suspected meth pills, police said.
