Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is not afraid to poke some fun at fellow college coaches on social media, even if he is preparing to lead the No. 5 Rebels into a matchup. Kiffin's Rebels (3-0) will take on Sun Belt member Georgia Southern (2-1) on Saturday night in Oxford.
Kickoff is not until 7:45 p.m. ET, meaning Kiffin has plenty of time to post a quip on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart was on the receiving end of Kiffin's latest jab. The two worked together on Nick Saban's staff at Alabama and have regularly voiced mutual respect dating back to their time together in Tuscaloosa. co/AeGSbdjsn3 The visor and polo are typical game attire for Smart. Whatever is hanging from the back of his shorts, however, is a new development. Smart has some time to give extra effort on the recruiting trail as Georgia is on its first bye week of the season.
The No. 2 Bulldogs will travel to No. 4 Alabama next week for the biggest matchup of the young season.
