Land Rover is recalling more than 100 examples of its popular Defender SUV due to a fault that could cause its optional snorkel to detach.

"If the RAI detaches from the vehicle whilst driving, it could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to other road users and bystanders.

" JLR notes that the recall affects vehicles fitted with part number VPLEP0543. If you own an affected model, you can contact your authorised JLR dealer to schedule an appointment to have the RAI removed, a revised fitting installed, and the RAI re-installed, free of charge.
