At the club's Annual General Meeting he was crowned helm of the year and he was also involved in some very close racing out on Stanborough Lakes. He and Tony Hale had gone toe to toe in a challenge for podium positions, with Hale coping manfully sailing his double hander on his own. Lambert got the better of race one but Hale avenged that in race two by securing second place by just a few seconds from Lambert.
Meanwhile Annette Walter was untroubled by anyone to collect two wins. Hale’s good form ensured he carried off the Wee Auld Mug in the personal handicap racing. Tied in second place were the lightly handicapped Alexander Burr and Walter, by far the most heavily handicapped helm in the club.
Fourth was Paul Lohr in the Mirror dinghy..
