Lake Pueblo State Park's North Shore Marina Operations Extended Through 2025 Boating Season

Boaters at Lake Pueblo State Park's North Shore Marina can breathe easy as an extension on the existing contract has been signed, ensuring operations through the end of the primary 2025 boating season. According to Colorado Parks & Wildlife, the agreement hammered out with The O’Neil Group will allow slip renters to stop worrying about an April 1st move-out notice and, instead, look forward to water-bound recreation at least until October 31.Lake Pueblo State Park serves as a beacon, drawing nearly 3 million visitors in the previous year with its promise of serenity and adventure.

As the park gears up for another busy season, Joe Stadterman, Lake Pueblo State Park Manager, emphasized the value of public input in reaching this temporary solution. “We’re looking forward to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all who visit Lake Pueblo State Park," Stadterman stated, as reported by Colorado Parks & Wildlife. He added, "We've been listening to concerns from the public and appreciate the feedback we've received.



The agreement will allow for public access to the North Shore Marina amenities at the park this summer while we work on a longer-term agreement."On the other side of the table, The O’Neil Group sees this as an opportunity to fortify its bond with Colorado Parks & Wildlife. Kevin O’Neil, owner of The O’Neil Group, shared his enthusiasm for the extension.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue our collaboration with Lake Pueblo State Park for another summer and fall boating season,” he said, as obtained by Colorado Parks & Wildlife.With the latest decision, boaters using North Shore Marina's services received tips from Colorado Parks & Wildlife on safely enjoying the park's amenities. Boaters are encouraged to wear life jackets, take a boating safety class, carry all required safety gear, get a safety inspection of their vessel, review navigation techniques, remain vigilant of weather and water conditions, and importantly, boat sober.
