Lady Gaga has announced her MAYHEM Ball world tour will bring her to Australia for her first shows in the country in 11 years. The shows will also be her first stadium shows in Australia, with dates scheduled for Melbourne's Marvel Stadium (December 5), Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium (December 9) and Sydney's Accor Stadium (December 12). Gaga last performed in Australia during 2014's ArtRave: The Artpop Ball tour.
The MAYHEM Ball tour — produced by mammoth entertainment company Live Nation — will kick off in Mexico City on April 26 and pass through Singapore, North America, the UK, and Europe before landing on Australian shores. The North American leg will include a headlining performance on day one of Coachella. The tour will promote Gaga's new album Mayhem, which was released on March 7 and quickly became her fifth consecutive Number One album in Australia.
On Mayhem, Lady Gaga flexes her credentials as a rock — not pop — star, with references spanning many decades and genres. Lady Gaga shot to global fame in 2008 with her debut album The Fame, eating up hours of radio playtime with hits Just Dance and Poker Face and winning the Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album. It was the beginning of what has been an epic career in the spotlight for Gaga, whose albums and songs have seen her pick up 14 Grammy Award wins from 38 nominations.
She has also crossed into the realm of film and television, starring alongside Bradley Cooper in the remake of A Star Is Born in 2018 (which saw her snag an Oscar nomination), playing Patrizia Reggiani in 2021's The House of Gucci, and appearing opposite Joaquin Phoenix in the ill-fated 2024 film Joker: Folie à Deux. Tickets will go on sale next Thursday, April 17..
