Actor and politician Ravi Kishan has won hearts after his portrayal of a police officer in Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies. Released earlier this year, the film is India’s official submission for Oscars 2025. The movie, starring Sparsh Shrivastava, Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, and Ravi Kishan, had an unexpected twist during the casting. Aamir Khan, intrigued by the story, auditioned for Ravi Kishan’s role but was turned down by Kiran Rao. She believed his star power might overpower the film’s simplicity.
At an event, Aamir candidly shared his admiration for the script and admitted he respected Kiran’s call. “Kiran’s unwavering belief in me was inspiring. Aamir was ready to take on the character, but Kiran said, ‘It has to be Ravi.
