L2 Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, surprised industry experts with a huge global opening. On its first day alone, the film earned Rs 66.50 Crore worldwide.
It continued to do well during the weekend as well, when it collected Rs 34.50 Crore on the second day, Rs 35.50 Crore on the third day and Rs 39 Crore on the fourth day.
By the end of its four day opening weekend, the film had made a total of Rs 175.50 Crore at the global box office. The Ajith Kumar starrer Good Bad Ugly had a strong start, when it garnered Rs 51 Crore on its first day.
The film continued to perform well, earning Rs 27.50 Crore on Day 2, followed by Rs 34.50 Crore on Day 3 and Rs 37 Crore on Day 4.
As it reached day four, the Adhik Ravichandran directorial collected Rs 150 Crore at the worldwide box office. Although the film couldn’t match L2 Empuraan’s numbers, it still delivered a solid performance overall. L2: Empuraan is the second part of the Lucifer trilogy.
