( MENAFN - Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 17. The dataprocessing center on renewable energy sources will be establishedin Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports via the Center for Public-PrivatePartnership (PPP) of Kyrgyzstan. The agreement on consulting support for the preparation of a PPPproject to create a data processing center on renewable energysources was signed by the Ministry of Digital Development ofKyrgyzstan and the Asian Development bank (ADB).

“This agreement marks a new stage of cooperation betweenKyrgyzstan and ADB aimed at accelerating digitalization and theintroduction of renewable energy sources in the country,” thestatement of the PPP Center reads. Meanwhile, the project will create one of the first data centersin the region to be powered solely by renewable energy sources,which will significantly reduce the country's carbon footprint andincrease its energy independence. Under the agreement, ADB will provide support for thepreparation of a feasibility study (FS), as well as the developmentof bidding documents and an overall project implementation plan.



The feasibility study will be financed by grant funds without anystate budget expenditures. The agency noted that the establishment of the center will alsoopen new opportunities for private investors in the energy andtechnology sectors.
