Kylie Jenner fans are convinced they've uncovered the real reason why the reality star has taken a step back from the spotlight . Long-time fans of Kylie have noticed a major shift in the reality star's online presence in recent years as she has strayed away from showing off her personality and day-to-day activities. After wondering why she hasn't been as forthcoming as she used to be, fans unearthed an old clip of Kylie from Halloween of 2022, when she opened up about her feelings on social media with her good friend Hailey Bieber .
In the clip, the mother of two shared, "I think that I just have a different relationship with social media and I think my priorities are just in a different place and I really have real life s--t to do now. I think before when I was on social media I dedicated my whole life to that. I would wake up, I would Snapchat my breakfast, you know, I just can't do that anymore.
" She continued, "I think that things get over-analyzed and misconstrued and you kind of just have to accept that. I think that I have probably the toughest skin on the planet because millions of people have said things about me, decided who I am, that's not even me. It's hard to just like swallow that.
My friends and my family know who I am so that's really all that matters." In a Reddit thread where the clip has been recirculating, fans shared their thoughts on Kylie's switch-up in social media content. One person wrote, "I get half of what she's saying.
I get not wanting the constant scrutiny. Like, you can't do anything right, so why bother. But also, when she was chronically online was when she was a teen with no kids, a rapper boyfriend, and life might've felt more carefree.
.. until it wasn't.
I never thought about it, but that makes a ton of sense." Another user replied, "It’s definitely frustrating for strangers to try and decide who you are, for you. It’s like everyone can only be accepting of a person becoming a product of their environment when that person is not a rich celebrity.
" They went on to add, "She may not be the most analytical or intellectual person, but she’s certainly intelligent in her own right. She’s aware that people consider her to be a vapid brainless bimbo, but she’s self-assured enough to not bother wasting the energy to prove strangers with worthless opinions wrong." Others sympathized with Kylie and the constant hate she's met with no matter how she handles her public perception - especially when it comes to being a parent.
One fan wrote: "She is not posting anything personal again. The most personal thing she posts is her children and she only posts them occasionally now and I think it is only because people keep claiming she is an absentee parent because she doesn't post them as often and there are hardly any paparazzi pictures of her with them now." They continued, "As someone who dislikes her, this doesn't make sense.
When she posted them too much when she was younger, it was exploitation. Now she doesn't post them that often and it is because she isn't a parent. It's ridiculous.
I think it is a good thing we see her children less and less with just occasional posts."
