Ksenia Samotiy: Don’t hate me but... hey, parents, keep those annoying kids at home at least some of the time

Children can be trying on flights, but I usually keep my patience. Photo: Getty There’s nothing like getting on a plane and seeing a small kid nearby to make you dread your flight, especially if, like me, you don’t enjoy flying. I do understand.

I mean, if you’re from Ireland, air travel is literally one of only two ways to get out of here (unless you really like swimming), so I get that taking kids on planes is pretty much unavoidable. So whenever I see a kid on the plane, I do my best to make the parents feel at ease. I’ll even smile at the child in question.
