Krysten Ritter's 'Orphan Black: Echoes' Series Gets Canceled After 1 Season On AMC

Sad news for fans of the Orphan Black spinoff series Orphan Black: Echoes . The Krysten Ritter -starring sequel series has been canceled after only one season, which debuted over the summer, THR reveals . Echoes took “a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence.

It follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unravelling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal.” The show premiere in June and aired it’s finale on August 25th, receiving a 60% critic score and a 47% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes . Also starring in the series were Amanda Fix , Avan Jogia , James Hiroyuki Liao , Keeley Hawes , Reed Diamond and Rya Kihlstedt .
