MANILA, Philippines — Kris Aquino continues give her followers an update on her current condition. On Sunday, she expressed gratitude to those who have supported her—including a surprise gesture from her ex-boyfriend, Dr. Mike Padlan. This comes a month after Aquino revealed the end of her relationship with the Makati Medical Center doctor. Despite the separation, Aquino acknowledged Dr. Padlan, who, she did not know at that time, entered the operating room while she was sedated. "I thought I was still dreaming unsure about who I saw when Dr. Cricket, my anesthesiologist, was waking me up. But he was there," she wrote in her post as she shared photos of her while undergoing procedures in the hospital. "We didn't get to speak, THANK YOU Dr. Mike Padlan, I was told I was sedated when you entered the OR." While she revealed that Dr. Padlan has since chosen to step away from her core medical team, Aquino said she understood his decision, referencing his words: "LET ME GO." "Mahirap talaga kapag magkaibang mundo ang pinanggalingan at nakasanayan... In time I still hope your anger will lessen and we shall both have PEACE IN OUR HEARTS," she wrote. "I'm almost there because I appreciate all I have & everyone who pray for me & make the effort to express their concern and compassion." Aquino also addressed entertainment reporter Ogie Diaz, who had previously made remarks that reportedly offended Padlan. According to Aquino, Diaz offered a personal apology, saying: "Mare, sorry that you had to deal with more stress. Dr. Padlan, I'm sorry if my comment came across badly. It's such a shame—Mare first told me that she had a doctor boyfriend and she said YOU MADE HER FEEL SAFE. So that your healing will be quicker—something many are praying for—I won't talk about you anymore. I'm really sorry, Mare, you don't need stress—especially after just having surgery." Aquino also opened up about the physical toll of her ongoing battle with multiple autoimmune diseases. She shared that her diagnosis has expanded to nine autoimmune conditions, five of which, she said, "can cause my death." "Yesterday i had my PICC line changed, contrary to what you may assume, i am NOT a "diva" patient. I asked vascular surgeon Dr. James which hospital he was most comfortable to do my PICC Line change in and he chose Makati Med," she wrote. "My medical team has grown because my diagnosed autoimmune diseases have now grown to 9. 5 of them can cause my death. That has been hard to process. But slowly i am learning to leave everything to God's will because He knows best," Aquino added. Despite her fragile health, Aquino finds comfort in small wins, including regaining her appetite. She thanked her friends like Anne Binay, Dr. Kat Cee, and Jessica Soho for regularly sending her food. "I am now 88 pounds, that's a WIN. Because God helps those who help themselves," she ended.
