Listen to Story South Korean star Kim Woo-bin recently spoke about his cancer diagnosis on the Korean drinking show, Zzanbro Shin Dong Yup. Speaking about the same, Woo-bin said that when he first got to know of his diagnosis, it felt like a scene from a K-drama. Incidentally, the actor's character in the popular K-drama Uncontrollably Fond also had cancer.

Stating that he is a “naturally a positive person, someone who always tries to find the silver lining in any situation,” the actor shared, “It was like a scene from a drama when the doctor suddenly said, ‘If it’s short, you only have six months to live.’ I was shocked and scared, and I wished it were just a dream.” “What if I can’t overcome this? That thought never crossed my mind,” Woo-bin added.

Kim Woo-bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017, a rare disease. As a result, Woo-bin was exempted from the mandatory military term all able Korean men are required to undergo after coming of age. The actor has since made a full recovery.

He was last seen in the Netflix action-comedy, Officer Black Belt. Woo-bin has Netflix series All The Love You Wish For in the pipeline, which will mark his reunion with his Uncontrollably Fond co-star Bae Suzy..
