Kohl’s has announced that all retail stores will be closed for the day of observance.As the springtime holiday falls on a different date each year, customers should be mindful of the date to avoid disrupting their shopping plans.This year, Easter falls on April 20.
Kohl’s will be closed to allow workers who observe the holiday to spend time with their families.The Wisconsin-based department retailer will only shutter for 24 hours.As of the start of 2025 Kohl’s operated around 1,150 stores in the United States.
However, it was announced in a statement from the company that the chain would close around 27 locations by April.Those locations are located across 15 states, including California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas.Other popular stores including Costco, Sam’s Club, and Target, are also slated to close for the holiday.
However, customers looking to do some Easter shopping are not entirely out of options.Walmart stores will remain open on Easter Sunday, giving customers a chance to do some last-minute holiday shopping.The store will operate during its regular business hours.
