Kluang assault: Bus driver injured, two suspects identified

KLUANG: An express bus driver was injured after being assaulted by two men following a collision with their Perodua Alza at KM58.5 of the North-South Expressway on Tuesday.District police chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh said the incident occurred around 3pm, with three police reports lodged by both parties.

"Initial investigations suggest that the two local men assaulted the bus driver out of anger following the accident," he said.A dashcam video of the attack went viral on social media, attracting widespread attention.Images circulated online showed injuries to the bus driver's right hand, reportedly caused by a wooden object wielded by one of the suspects.



"The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code and Rule 10 LN166/59," he added.© New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd.
